They started their marriage young — and not wellShe was pregnant。 He was an alcoholic。 But God’s grace took them through a job he hated， 7 sons， and all the love that all those boys brought。 LOVED THIS BOOK！！！ SUPERB。 I received a copy of this book from the publisher。 All thoughts and comments are my own。

This series has put us through the wringer。 I normally archive books after I’ve read them， but I’ve highlighted so many parts of this book， I’ll leave it available to readily access。 This is a perfect season of my life to be getting extra reminders of God’s grace and omnipotence。 My heart grieves as this series comes to a close but I know that the next will enrich my faith as much as this one did。I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review。

When Kevin has a heart attack， it brings to the surface， for both him and Helen， memories of a not-always-easy past。 But in the struggles， God's grace is clear。 It's a time to come to terms with the past and with the fact that God is in control - and God is good。I've been a little reluctant to read this because I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Murphys - but honestly， this was the perfect ending。 Full of heart， with an amazing message of redemption and grace， this is a deeply touching story of When Kevin has a heart attack， it brings to the surface， for both him and Helen， memories of a not-always-easy past。 But in the struggles， God's grace is clear。 It's a time to come to terms with the past and with the fact that God is in control - and God is good。I've been a little reluctant to read this because I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Murphys - but honestly， this was the perfect ending。 Full of heart， with an amazing message of redemption and grace， this is a deeply touching story of God's work in the lives of two broken people， leading them to become the much looked-up-to and well-loved heads of the Murphy clan。 I loved the glimpses of each of their sons' marriages/relationships a bit （or a lot） down the road， but it was also nice to focus on the parents and learn more about their lives。 So， though I'm still sorry to be saying goodbye to the Murphys， this has to be about the best series-ending book I've ever read， making a very satisfying conclusion to the series as a whole （though it could still be read on its own）。 I'm excited to see what the author will write next。 Highly recommended。Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more

Season of Memories wraps up the Murphy Brothers series， which is one of my very favorite book series of all time。 These Murphy brothers and their wives have provided me with some of my most profound reading experiences。 Each story has had a focus on some type of spiritual growth that the characters are going through， as well as situations that pulled all kinds of emotions from me。 Season of Memories was no exception to this。 My heart was all over the place！I loved the way the author placed the r Season of Memories wraps up the Murphy Brothers series， which is one of my very favorite book series of all time。 These Murphy brothers and their wives have provided me with some of my most profound reading experiences。 Each story has had a focus on some type of spiritual growth that the characters are going through， as well as situations that pulled all kinds of emotions from me。 Season of Memories was no exception to this。 My heart was all over the place！I loved the way the author placed the reader primarily in the present， yet provided multiple flashbacks in order to show how Kevin and Helen， the Murphy parents， grew their family。 It was not a simple， easy growth either。 These two were not believers when they wed and had huge struggles to overcome in the early years of their marriage。 The way the author showed what was going on in their lives every few years as they added to their family was precious。 I loved seeing them welcome these Murphy men as babies while juggling the various issues that arose in life。I highly recommend this entire series， all nine books。 It is hard to say goodbye to these characters， but I am happy that I can go back and reread them anytime I want。I received a complimentary copy of this book， however， I also pre-ordered my own copy， too。 All opinions are my own。You can read this review on my blog:https://brittreadsfiction。wordpress。c。。。 。。。more

In this book you will read about a wonderful family and the struggles they have had。 Kevin and Helen’s story will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next。 I had the honor to review this for a honest review。 I would give this book a higher rating than a 5 if I could。

Season Of Memories by Jennifer Rodewald is the most charming Christian novel and the nineth book in the Murphy Brothers series。 It can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the previous books first for maximum enjoyment。This book concentrates on the Murphy brothers parents who have been married for forty years and had seven boys。 On the surface， life looks ideal but it hasn’t always been that way。 The marriage had a rocky start but God was faithful。 “One should delight … in the goodne Season Of Memories by Jennifer Rodewald is the most charming Christian novel and the nineth book in the Murphy Brothers series。 It can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the previous books first for maximum enjoyment。This book concentrates on the Murphy brothers parents who have been married for forty years and had seven boys。 On the surface， life looks ideal but it hasn’t always been that way。 The marriage had a rocky start but God was faithful。 “One should delight … in the goodness of God。” Sometimes it is not always easy to see God in the middle of the storm。 “She wanted to spit out a pray harder because it’s not working。”Throughout life’s struggles we can see the goodness of God when we look backwards。 “Life was uncertain but God was unchanging。” In the tough times we see that “God works in hard places。” When we are in a pit， we can be sure that God is right there with us。In the hard times， we need to “remember how God had been faithful in the past。” It is in looking backwards， that we find the courage to step into the future。There are difficult questions for which we shall never know the answers。 “Why do God’s people go through hard stuff？” We are never promised an easy life but we are promised that God will never leave us nor forsake us。We see a character who fears repeating the pattern of behaviour of his father – but we are not destined to repeat the sins， we can choose a different path。 The character is drowning in bitterness over his lost childhood。 “God… Forgive me。 For all the years of stored bitterness。” God can redeem and restore the years the locusts have eaten。Season Of Memories is such a charming book。 It remembers the past and looks to the future。 We see God working in the past and in the present， and we know He will work in the future。 God is full of mercy and grace and love。I received a free copy from the author。 A favourable review was not required。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

'Fear had a way of holding praise ransom。'Ah， these Murphy Brothers。 I have read these books， each brother has one， and one brother has two， with such heartfelt joy。 These seven men whose stories were so impactful。 I disappeared into each one and was blessed over and over again。 Jennifer Rodewald knows exactly how to plumb the absolute depths of human emotion， which includes heartbreak， pain， joy， praise， and more。 It's like nothing I've experienced when I dive into one of her books。 These seven 'Fear had a way of holding praise ransom。'Ah， these Murphy Brothers。 I have read these books， each brother has one， and one brother has two， with such heartfelt joy。 These seven men whose stories were so impactful。 I disappeared into each one and was blessed over and over again。 Jennifer Rodewald knows exactly how to plumb the absolute depths of human emotion， which includes heartbreak， pain， joy， praise， and more。 It's like nothing I've experienced when I dive into one of her books。 These seven Murphy brothers are amazing men。 One reason is because they were raised by amazing parents， Kevin and Helen Murphy。 Now， in this powerful book， we get to meet the parents in more depth。 These parents who raised seven sons to love God and do the right thing。 These parents whose faith was rooted deeply in Jesus Christ。 And。。。。we find out that these parents didn't always have it together。 Oh my goodness， this book just did me in。 In fact， as I sit here typing this review， I have tears in my eyes。 It is so incredibly good。 This is one of my most favorite series of all time。 Truly it is。 Rodewald is a master at what she does。 Spiritually impactful seems a mediocre way to describe it， but it is stunning。 I very highly recommend not only this book， but this entire series。 They are destined to be read over and over again。 They will enrich your walk with Christ。 Well done！My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book。 I also bought a copy because it was that important。 。。。more

This is a sweet farewell to an amazing series featuring the Murphy clan。 It is through this series I was introduced to battle cards。 It is in this series that I have seen God’s abundant mercy and identified it in my life。 So many lovely moments to ponder and praise。 In Season of Memories we get an overview of Murphy life。 It is in the shameful moments that we appreciate the divine grace。 Oh my， what a blessing！ I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest opinion。
